Episode Overview

Mr. Sheffield is enraged to learn that his daughter, Maggie, is dating a 25-year-old man. He demands that Fran intervene, but she suggests he should address his hearing issues instead. Fran decides to accompany Maggie on what she deems her final date with John but quickly forgets Mr. Sheffield's instructions when she encounters John's attractive friend, Mark, who shows interest in her. Although Fran aims to help Maggie, she opts to let things unfold, anticipating Maggie will grow bored of John—though this ultimately means Fran must abandon her own romantic interest. Meanwhile, C.C. misses a chance to dine with Max after Niles tricks her into falling asleep with caffeine.
