Episode Overview

Five friends from Bozeman, Montana—Sam Kavanagh, Blake Morstad, Jason Thompson, Chris Maki, and Matt Schuyler—embark on a back-country ski trip to ring in New Year 2005. Having grown up together, they are not only lifelong friends but also seasoned skiers. However, their final day takes a tragic turn when they unintentionally trigger a massive avalanche. The disaster claims one life and leaves another friend severely injured. Stranded far from help, what was meant to be an exhilarating adventure descends into a nightmare.
