Titanic: Blood and Steel (2012)
S01E08 High Stakes
Episode Overview
As the pivotal General Elections approach, the elite back their candidate, the radical Unionist Albert Hatton. Pirrie's refusal to endorse Hatton positions him as an adversary to the powerful. Michael rallies support for Labour, aided by his sister, Emily. However, she is arrested for distributing campaign leaflets, becoming a political pawn in a larger scheme. Meanwhile, Mark's suggestion to raise Titanic's bulkheads for safety is dismissed by Ismay, the head of White Star Lines. When the election results are in, Hatton secures a significant victory, while Michael receives only a handful of votes. Enraged Protestant and anti-Home Rule extremists attack Michael, forcing him to flee Belfast, while his brother Conor has turned to terrorism, claiming lives.
