Episode Overview

After being compelled to take the life of an old friend, Johnny decides to resign once more. Dan brings in a replacement deputy, but he's no match for Johnny McKay. This new hire is loud and brash, often trying to assert his authority without any real desire to engage in conflict. However, when the new deputy gets terrified to the point of panic, Johnny reconsiders and ultimately returns to his position.
