Episode Overview

Luther Boardman has taken over the Laramie Free Press and is captivated by the outlaw lifestyle. Believing that outlaws represent the true essence of the Wild West, he launches a smear campaign against Dan. He falsely claims Dan committed police brutality after Dan knocked out a rowdy, drunken man who was threatening others with a gun in the Bird Cage, despite Boardman not being present during the incident. Before long, the intoxicated man is manipulated into demanding a public apology from Dan.
