Episode Overview

Brenda and Bill Dostal are convinced that their son is the source of their issues, but Jo quickly discerns that young Zachary’s unruly behavior stems from his parents' struggles. The five-year-old aggressively chases Brenda around the house, trying to scratch her during timeout attempts, leaving her arms marked. His three-year-old sister, Erin, remains in the background, overshadowed by Zachary's antics. Bill criticizes Brenda for not managing Zachary's behavior, while Brenda doubts Bill's ability to control his own anger with the kids. Their breakdown in communication escalates the chaos, making playdates nearly impossible. Brenda worries their marriage may not survive without intervention.
