Episode Overview

Bert Myers experiences a flashback to his days as a spy in Eastern Europe, then shifts to the present where he and his girlfriend, Catherine, are facing relationship troubles. Bert recruits Amanda to break into Ludwig’s house without revealing that he needs crucial files Ludwig has on him, which could lead to blackmail. In a tense moment, Bert is forced to shoot Ludwig in self-defense, while Amanda unwittingly steals a painting and sells it to Basil. When she learns of the murder and the painting’s connection, she suspects Bert set her up. He buys back the painting to give to Amanda, but Ludwig’s protégé still possesses the files and coerces Bert into a plot to assassinate an Indian ambassador, Chandra. Bert refuses, and he and Nick confront the protégé during the attempt. However, the getaway driver turns out to be Catherine, who has been secretly working with Ludwig all along, while Amanda is in the backseat, unaware of the chaos unfolding.
