Title: So Funny I Forgot to Laugh (aka Stop It, You're Killing Me) Plot: Martin's old friend Bonnie returns to New York from Cleveland, eager to kickstart her career in stand-up comedy. Unfortunately, her debut performance falls flat. In an effort to help, Martin suggests she draw inspiration from her past relationships, which are far more amusing than her current material. As they reconnect, their chemistry grows, leading to a romantic encounter. When Bonnie takes the stage for her second performance, the entire crew comes out to support her. Following Martin’s advice, she shares stories about her relationships, but to Martin's dismay, she focuses on her current boyfriend. The audience loves it, while Martin feels left out. After the show, the group shares hilarious anecdotes about Martin, but when he nearly shares his feelings about Bonnie's new routine, a phone call interrupts. An HBO scout in attendance was impressed and tells Bonnie that a top executive will be reaching out next week.
