Episode Overview
During a League of Countries meeting, the Kapecapek representative reveals that his nation will be closing its borders. An official suggests that if Kapecapek's racecar driver, Kabala, can defeat Speed Racer, the borders can remain shut. Speed receives an odd invitation to the Fire Festival Race, especially since Kapecapek lacks a racetrack and Kabala has been missing for some time. Still, Speed and his friends head to Kapecapek, where they encounter Racer X, who has also been invited. That evening, Chief Zuma announces that the race winner will marry his granddaughter, Princess Sibana, hinting that Speed is the favorite. However, a jealous Trixie asserts that Speed is already committed, prompting another racer, Mr. Kadar, to propose his own interest in the princess. Later, Mr. Kadar kidnaps the princess, demanding to know the location of the country's hidden treasure. Speed rushes to save her.
