Speed Racer (1967)

Episode Overview

Set a year after "The Most Dangerous Race," this sequel sees a group of international spies devising a scheme to trick Speed Racer and the Car Acrobatic Team into participating in a race. Their true aim is to draw out Racer X, whom they have identified as Speed’s older brother. Meanwhile, they secretly plant explosives in the cars of the Car Acrobatic Team to eliminate Speed. Ultimately, the spies meet their own demise when their plan backfires. In a pivotal moment, Speed confronts Racer X, realizing he is his brother Rex. However, Racer X knocks Speed out, removes his mask, and decides to leave racing behind to pursue a full-time career as a secret agent.
