Episode Overview
Believing the Mach 5 is permanently lost in Lake Icy Chill, the Mammoth Car drivers continue with the race. As Speed regains solid ground, he spots them leaving through his telescanner. Trixie quickly sends a message via a homing robot to Inspector Detector, revealing that the stolen gold is hidden in the Mammoth Car. From his plane, Cruncher Block notices the Mach 5 on the road. At a refueling station, Speed and Trixie come under fire, narrowly escaping into a mining tunnel where they leap onto a speeding trolley car that ultimately crashes. Meanwhile, Spritle and Chim Chim stealthily exit Cruncher's plane at the refueling station and also flee into the tunnel, which leads to Cruncher's lair. There, Speed and Trixie find themselves bound to a trolley loaded with three tons of dynamite, but Racer X arrives just in time to rescue them. At the next checkpoint, the Inspector inspects the Mammoth Car but finds nothing
