Episode Overview
During their holiday in Norfolk, the Dangerfields find themselves embroiled in a troubling situation when the serene countryside is disrupted by the mysterious death of the high-strung Susan Wood, a guest at a barbecue they attend upon arrival. Alison and Marty witness Susan being roughly handled by her husband, Hugh, prompting Dangerfield to delve deeper into the unfolding drama throughout their getaway. Meanwhile, in Warwickshire, insurance salesman Brian Ashley is struck by a hit-and-run driver after leaving the home of housewife Sandra Lennox following a secret affair. Choosing to avoid the police, he flees the scene. DI Ken Jackson and his team soon realize this hit-and-run is more complex than it appears, leading them to the doorstep of the intoxicated Frank Talbot, the actual driver behind the incident.
