Stardate: 45854.2. The crew of the Enterprise stumbles upon a wounded Borg and brings him aboard for treatment. Dr. Crusher tends to his injuries, while Geordi forms a bond with him, giving him the name 'Hugh.' As Hugh begins to exhibit unique thoughts and emotions, Captain Picard faces a moral dilemma: should he eliminate this emerging individuality or send Hugh back to the Borg Collective?
