The Animals of Farthing Wood (1993)

Episode Overview

Ahead of the animals lies a bustling motorway, and they are all apprehensive about crossing it due to the obvious dangers. While many prefer to seek an alternative route, the distant sound of the Hunting horn urges them forward. They decide to split into groups, taking turns to navigate the road. Larger creatures like Fox and Badger assist the smaller ones, while Whistler transports the fieldmice, voles, and shrews safely in his beak. Unfortunately, the prickly hedgehogs cannot be carried. When they attempt to cross, their instincts kick in, causing them to curl up in fear as a car approaches, leading to their tragic demise.
