The Animals of Farthing Wood (1993)

Episode Overview

Having evaded the Hunt for the time being, the animals stumble upon a vast quarry, where they encounter Whistler, a majestic blue heron. He earned his name from the sound the wind makes as it whistles through a bullet hole in his wing while he soars. When Toad attempts to outshine Whistler in fishing, he finds himself in danger when a carp grabs him. Whistler swoops in, retrieves the carp, and safely returns Toad to his friends. Grateful for the rescue, Whistler decides to accompany the animals on their adventure.
