Kris’s arrival back at Ritter Ranch brings a whirlwind of tension. Matt chooses to act on his feelings for her, while Dani, feeling envious, plots to get Kris into trouble. She starts by alerting a police officer about Kris's involvement in an illegal drag race and spreads damaging rumors about her history at the racetrack, leading to a confrontation where Kris punches her. Meanwhile, Jean advises Kris to confide in her about any issues.
