Episode Overview

Jean decides to tackle the ranch's financial issues by selling her engagement ring. Unexpectedly, Barb, Kris's mother, arrives, and the Ritters invite her to stay with them. Meanwhile, Todd Ritter develops feelings for Kris, while Dani starts a relationship with Bobby. When Jean realizes her ring has gone missing, Kris accuses her mother, who has fallen back into substance abuse. Kris urges her mother to leave, only to later find out that Matt had taken the ring. With Junior's help, Kris tracks down Barb at the bus station, where he shares his own experience of loss. They have a heartfelt moment before Kris chooses to stay with her new family, allowing Barb to move forward with her life.
