Cage finds himself defending his quirky second cousin, a gentle soul with a fixation on love, who faces assault charges for playfully hitting couples on the head with a paddle to spark their romantic awareness. As they leave the courthouse, his cousin accidentally swats Ally and Bobby Donnell, who have been growing closer while working together on a case involving two men seeking a court order for a heart-swap surgery. The judge playfully turns the situation around, asking Ally to act as the judge for the ruling. Meanwhile, Billy and Georgia feel their relationship has become stale. To shake things up, they impulsively decide to get intimate in the conference room, only for Ally to stumble in on them at the most awkward moment.
