Cage and Fish take on a high-profile capital case involving a man charged with murdering his wife, who has been in a coma. The accused claims he only used a chainsaw to sever her hand after she had already passed away. On the prosecution's side, Renee presents evidence from the coroner, who believes the wife was still alive during the procedure, leading to her fatal heart attack. Meanwhile, Billy and Georgia are focused on mending their relationship following Billy's affair with Ally. They are also working together on a case where a man is suing to regain his job at an insurance company after being dismissed for a bad hair day.
