Episode Overview
Kogami uses his profiling expertise to conclude that the killer targeting the girls' school is not linked to an old unsolved case, noting that the recent murders lack the distinct creativity and social critique of the earlier ones. When he and Tsunemori uncover that the perpetrator is a student, they track down Rikako, but she manages to escape when a teacher intervenes, preventing Kogami from taking action. As the Enforcers search for her hidden pathways, Rikako slips away, leaving behind her latest work for everyone to see. Makishima contacts Rikako, expressing his disappointment and instructing a colleague to eliminate her. Meanwhile, Kogami discovers a corrupted audio file that Makishima intentionally left behind. With Rikako's failure, Makishima becomes intrigued by Kogami.
