Episode Overview
Deep in the sweltering Guyanese jungle, gold starts to flow abundantly. Stricken with guilt over a recent accident, Vincent throws himself into work. Meanwhile, Serra supplies the weary miners with alcohol and women, hoping to earn some extra cash. Vincent is dismayed to see Anita there and tries to prevent her from selling herself, only to face mockery and anger from the other men. Serra struggles to find a buyer for the illegal gold and returns to Saint Elias, where he learns Nathalie has been siphoning money from his account to develop Acai Beach, and that his daughter Laetitia is dating Claudio. Seizing the chance while Serra is away, Vincent defies orders and seeks out the legendary Sarah Bernhardt gold mine, bringing back a distressed young Brazilian girl injured in the forest. Soon, their camp comes under siege. In Cayenne, Serra tries to reach a jeweler he trusts, unaware that his old partner has set a trap for him.
