Episode Overview

Roscoe Jones, the black minister who took over after Trent's father, finds himself in danger from a man named Stan Gorman. Years earlier, while serving in the Army, Roscoe's friend—who was also black—commanded a unit that included Gorman. A notorious bigot, Gorman resented taking orders from a black leader. Their conflict escalated to a violent climax when Gorman attempted to kill both Roscoe and his friend, succeeding in murdering the latter. Roscoe survived and testified against Gorman, leading to his imprisonment. During his time behind bars, Gorman rose to lead a white supremacy group, and now he’s seeking revenge on Roscoe.
