Walker, Texas Ranger (1993)
S06E09 Mr. Justice
Episode Overview
Faced with the ineffectiveness of prison sentences, Walker proposes a new initiative aimed at young offenders in their late teens and early twenties. Alex brings his idea to Senator Kay Hutchinson, who sees potential but faces opposition from Commissioner Simpson, who is focused on expanding prison facilities and fears Walker's plan could threaten that funding. Nevertheless, the Senator decides to give Walker a shot, assigning Deputy Commissioner Luther Dobbs to assess the program's viability. Ten young offenders are sent to CAMP JUSTICE, where Walker and Trivette emphasize the chance to change their lives or risk ending up in Huntsville prison. Walker implements a strict regimen, making them run for any misbehavior, and the following day he speaks about the importance of making "smart" choices, trying to engage them in gardening activities.
