Episode Overview

Following a devastating fire at an auto shop, Jose Vargas sustains injuries that lead him to take disability leave, forcing him to step away from his role as a firefighter—a transition he struggles with deeply. Chief Boden steps in to assist a young suspect believed to be setting fires. Meanwhile, Severide is drawn in by a tempting invitation from Renee, a woman he rescued from a car accident involving live wires. At the same time, Cruz is determined to pull his younger brother Leon away from the dangerous gang he’s entangled with.
