Episode Overview

Lt. Casey's first encounter with Sam Mullins, the acting Chief at House 51 while Boden is away, starts off on a rocky note. Later, when Casey takes a daring step to prevent a troubled man from leaping off a building, Mullins reveals an unexpected twist. Meanwhile, Mouch arranges a birthday surprise by bringing in Cruz's brother Leon, but the rest of the team finds it difficult to keep the plan under wraps. Additionally, Brett is surprised to discover some new details about her childhood friend, Hope.
