Tales of Wells Fargo (1957)

Episode Overview

In a desperate act of self-preservation, Jim Hardie is forced to fatally wound a reckless youth involved in a Wells Fargo stage robbery. Despite the boy’s misdeeds, he is beloved by the townsfolk, and his wealthy, influential mother stirs up trouble for Jim. As whispers of lynching him circulate, tensions rise. After the boy succumbs to his injuries, the mother’s foreman confronts Jim, intent on revenge. They engage in a fierce struggle, but Jim manages to subdue his attacker. However, he soon finds himself at the mercy of an angry mob determined to hang him on the spot.
