Episode Overview
Title: My Body Is a Cage (1) Plot: During a ballroom dancing class, Adam finds himself smitten with Bianca. As they share playful banter, Bianca unexpectedly discovers Adam's hidden breasts while teasingly pushing him. Confused, she mistakenly assumes he is a transboy and reveals this to Fitz and Owen, who respond with hostility. Earlier in the episode, Adam’s transgender identity is hinted at when he's seen binding his chest and later when he confides in Eli and Clare after she finds tampons in his locker. Meanwhile, Adam's mother insists he dress as "Gracie" for an upcoming visit from his grandmother. Leia misleads Anya into thinking her mother is unfaithful, only for Anya to learn the truth is even more troubling. Meanwhile, Dave struggles to get Miss Oh to crack a smile at his jokes.
