Edina is infuriated after losing a coveted PR award to her competitor, Claudia Bing, even after attempting to influence the judges. Concerned about her faltering career, she devises a campaign aimed at overshadowing Claudia. Meanwhile, Saffron starts dating Gerard, her psychology professor, only to find out he’s married with children. In an unexpected twist, Edina steps in to defend Saffron by confronting Gerard physically. At an industry luncheon, Edina's speech gets hijacked, leading her to drunkenly vent about the decline of the PR field, which surprisingly resonates with the crowd. The next day, Edina and Patsy wake up on a trash barge en route to Ostend.
