Felicity and Ben try to steer clear of each other as finals approach, but their chemistry proves irresistible. They make plans to spend the summer together in Palo Alto, where Ben has secured a construction job to fund his tuition. Felicity’s art history professor hints at a potential museum internship if she performs well on her final. After finishing his own finals, Ben books a hotel room to relax, and Felicity joins him, despite not having taken her exam yet. They lose track of time while getting intimate, causing Felicity to miss her final. Ben steps in to explain her absence to Professor Morton, who allows Felicity an extra day to submit a take-home essay. With Ben’s support, she finishes the paper overnight, earning an A and the internship offer. Meanwhile, Julie agrees to go out with Sean, who becomes fixated on every little detail. Ruby shares that Wade has proposed to her, and she intends to accept for the sake of their child.
