Felicity decides to forgo the internship to spend her summer with Ben, despite Dr. Pavone's warning about the potential regret of missing such a rare opportunity. She shares with Ben that her parents might reconcile, but misunderstandings arise between them. Ben feels that Felicity isn’t interested in him, while she thinks he’s distancing himself. After confiding in Professor Morton about her desire for the internship, Felicity learns it's already been offered to a grad student. Meanwhile, Javier and Samuel prepare for their wedding, but Felicity’s toast at the rehearsal dinner hints at her feelings for Ben, sparking a fight that leads to a passionate encounter. Just before the wedding, Felicity discovers the internship is still available. She accepts the position, and she and Ben promise to make their relationship last, declaring their love before he heads to Palo Alto. Javier's cousin Natalie, a striking girl with a bold personality, arrives in town.
