Felicity grows increasingly anxious about Ben as she notices his emotional response to a sonogram of his son. Struggling to focus on her art history term paper, which is due the next day, she hasn't even selected a topic. Meghan suggests that she simply copy a dissertation from the library, reassuring her that she won't get caught. Meanwhile, Ben decides to take Lamaze classes with Lauren, hoping to persuade her to remain in New York. Overwhelmed, Felicity resorts to plagiarism but panics when her professor asks to meet with her. To her surprise, Professor Carnes praises her work and mentions submitting it for publication. Meghan urges Felicity to dispose of the dissertation and decline publication. When Felicity attempts to trash the book, a library staff member catches her, but Meghan later strikes a deal and steals it. Ultimately, Professor Carnes delivers more news to Felicity.
