Episode Overview

Felicity manages to graduate despite Professor Carnes giving her a failing grade on her paper but still allowing her to pass the class. Ben proposes to Felicity, and she happily agrees. Later, he gets a late-night call informing him that Lauren is in labor in Philadelphia. He rushes to the hospital to witness the birth of his son, Andrew. When Felicity’s parents arrive for graduation, her father criticizes her decision to move in with Ben in New York, claiming she always follows him. In response, Felicity reveals her engagement. Upon returning, Ben shares that leaving his newborn son was tough and that Lauren plans to move to Arizona, which he wants to do as well. Felicity feels unsure about joining him. Richard accidentally spills the news about Ben's child and the Arizona plans to Felicity’s father. Dr. Porter confronts Ben, voicing his disapproval of the engagement. Ultimately, Felicity decides against moving to Arizona, wanting to assert her independence.
