Episode Overview
Ben and Trevor are devastated after failing their organic chemistry midterm, especially since the exam included a section on a topic that Professor Hodges had assured them would not be tested. Seeking a chance to retake the exam, their frustrations boil over when Ben insults Hodges, leading the professor to kick them out of class. They head out for drinks, but Trevor overindulges at Felicity and Elena's Halloween party and collapses from alcohol poisoning. Ben calls for help, and when he tells Hodges that Trevor is in a coma, he suggests that a little empathy from Hodges might have prevented this. Concerned, Hodges visits the hospital, where he finds Trevor on the mend. Realizing he hasn't been supportive, he invites both students back to class. Meanwhile, T.A. Felicity steps in to teach after Hodges is arrested for shoplifting, but her students ridicule her, accusing her of compromising her integrity.
