Episode Overview
Chuck Wilson, who used to co-star with Samantha Sanders on a sitcom and was also Steve's rival in childhood, arrives at West Beverly after being expelled from private school. Steve feels down when Kelly agrees to attend a dance with Chuck. Samantha insists that Steve be cordial to Chuck, hoping to convince him to join a reunion film project. Chuck mocks Steve about his adoption, revealing that he was aware of it long before Steve was. In anger, Steve punches Chuck but takes the blame for the altercation to ensure Chuck signs the movie contract. Feeling neglected by his mother, who prioritizes her career, Steve decides to look for his biological parents. After discovering that her agent informed Chuck about the adoption, Samantha pulls out of the film. Kelly stands Chuck up and ends up taking Steve to the dance, but a teacher throws him out due to his suspension.
