Episode Overview
On the first day of school, Dylan asks out Emily Valentine, a new girl who plays guitar and rides a motorcycle. She also ends up going on a date with Brandon, capturing the attention of all the guys. Emily offers to assist Brenda, Kelly, and Donna in creating a performance for the welcome assembly. Later, Dylan and Emily share a kiss at a scenic spot overlooking the bluff. The next evening, Brandon takes her there too, and they kiss as well. Brenda becomes fiercely jealous upon discovering Emily's connection with Dylan, calling her promiscuous and treating her poorly at a barbecue at the Walsh home. Afterward, Brenda apologizes to Emily and begs her to stay in the act because of her talent. Realizing she still has feelings for Dylan, Brenda reconciles with him. Meanwhile, Scott returns from Oklahoma wearing a cowboy hat and showing a newfound passion for country music, fireworks, and guns, which worries David, prompting him to distance himself from Scott.
