Episode Overview
Brandon is considering leaving the school newspaper to make the most of his senior year. To change his mind, Andrea seeks help from the new English teacher and advisor, Gil Meyers. Gil decides to appoint Brandon as the new editor, which leads Andrea to accuse him of sexism and contemplate resigning. To resolve the situation, Gil names them both co-editors. Meanwhile, a downcast Kelly rearranges her schedule to steer clear of Brenda and Dylan. Brenda, Steve, and Donna volunteer as "senior buddies" to help freshmen, pairing Donna with David's former summer girlfriend, Nikki, who has just moved from San Francisco. David struggles to tell Donna about his feelings, but Nikki accidentally reveals the truth. To test David’s loyalty, Donna has Nikki pretend to flirt with him. Nikki also shows interest in Brandon.
