Episode Overview
Jim surprises Brandon with tickets to the Rolling Stones concert at the Rose Bowl, but the hearing to decide the legitimacy of his presidency is scheduled for the same night. Jesse defends Brandon, asserting he’s already the rightful president since he’s been convening senate meetings; ultimately, the challenge is dismissed. Brandon takes Andrea to the concert, while Kelly gains backstage access through her magazine, and Steve struggles to get in after a hippie swipes his wallet. Ray and Donna work as vendors, enjoying the show for free. David and Clare claim to dislike the band but are forced to buy tickets from a scalper when Mel bails on them. Steve and his dad pressure Dylan to sell his shares after kicking him out of the Peach Pit After Dark, and he agrees while in rehab. Meanwhile, Dylan and Valerie decide to end their relationship to keep her out of his troubles, leading to a tense moment during group therapy with Charley.
