Episode Overview
Kelly distances herself from her friends as she immerses herself in Finley's mission. In an attempt to win her back, Brandon pens an editorial in support of Finley. Meanwhile, the university decides to remove Finley, who pledges to continue his work elsewhere. He encourages Kelly to end her relationship with Brandon, believing he diverts her focus from the "evolution." Ray attracts the attention of a record label, with Ariel as the A&R rep tasked with making the deal happen. Despite Donna and David's warnings, Ray insists their connection will be purely professional. He ultimately turns down the contract over concerns about losing his publishing rights. After a trip to Hawaii to check on Erica and Iris, Dylan chooses to leave Erica with Iris. Valerie demands payment for helping secure Erica and the money, finding Dylan's $10,000 insufficient. Jonesy offers her a much larger sum if she agrees to collaborate with him again.
