Valerie manages to tag along on a road trip with Kelly, Donna, and Clare. David expresses his gratitude to Val for supporting him during tough times and gives her a kiss. On the journey, Donna pressures Val into confessing that she slept with Ray, leading the roommates to decide to cut ties with her. When their car breaks down, the group spends the night at a convent where they are forbidden to speak after dark.
