Episode Overview
Brandon reveals that he’s taken a position with the Washington bureau of the New York Chronicle. Meanwhile, Kelly and Donna are excitedly preparing to launch their shop, Now Wear This. Brandon starts to feel anxious as he notices Kelly moving on with her life and becomes uneasy about Matt's involvement. Kelly meets with Leah, who shares her troubled past with Lenny, revealing she left him after he threatened her life. Even though Kelly claims she can handle things alone, Brandon decides to write about the custody battle. Ultimately, he contemplates staying in LA, but Kelly encourages him to follow his aspirations. The group surprises Brandon with a farewell party, and before he leaves, he persuades his parents to let Steve, Val, and Noah stay at their home. As Donna grows more distant from Noah, she seeks solace in Matt. Valerie consults Matt for legal advice regarding an accidental death, but he cautions her that a jury may not see it that way. Abby shares her insights with Val.
