Lenny gains joint custody of his daughter, but after losing his temper on their first visit, Kelly decides to help Leah and her daughter escape and start anew. Lenny tracks them down, discovers their intentions, and confronts Leah violently. Meanwhile, Matt, feeling guilty, assists Leah in securing the identification she needs for her fresh start. Valerie plans an extravagant rave as a send-off before surrendering to the police. David informs Abby about Val's intentions, prompting her to intercept her daughter at the station. Abby begs Val not to confess and takes responsibility for not supporting her. Struggling to connect with Noah, Donna begins seeing Matt but unintentionally neglects him during the party to care for a drunken Noah. Noah breaks his commitment to attend an AA meeting and continues drinking. Sophie attempts waitressing but faces a series of mishaps.
