With a surge of oppressive heat and the malfunctioning climate control system, Paul and Jamie feel the urgent need to cool off. Venturing into the streets of New York, they soon realize the situation is even more unbearable. Jamie persuades Paul to escape the city for a meal at their favorite seaside restaurant. However, while borrowing Fran's car for the trip, Jamie is dismayed to discover that Fran has reclaimed her former job.
