Cromer Hall, a British manor perched on a moor, served as the inspiration for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's timeless work, The Hound of the Baskervilles, part of his Sherlock Holmes collection. Meanwhile, Scottish nobleman Lord Gordon-Gordon finds himself embroiled in controversy when he acquires a stake in the Erie Railroad, a fallout from a scheme orchestrated by Wall Street tycoon Jay Gould, who is also the proprietor of Lyndhurst, a castle located in Tarrytown, New York.
