In Fosdinovo, Italy, the Castello di Malaspina serves as the final resting place for Bianca Malaspina, an albino girl who defied her noble family by falling for a stable boy. Her parents punished her by sealing her alive in the dungeon. Meanwhile, in Poole, England, Upton House becomes embroiled in a legal battle when a man from Wagga Wagga, Australia, claims to be Roger Tichborne, the rightful heir who supposedly drowned a decade earlier. On December 13, 1799, George Washington falls gravely ill at his Mount Vernon home. After doctors attempt bloodletting, he dies the following day, prompting Dr. William Thornton to suggest an unorthodox method to revive him.
