Barnaby Jones (1973)

Episode Overview

An insurance agent is murdered when an assailant pushes him down an elevator shaft. While the authorities suspect it was an accident, the victim's wife believes otherwise and enlists Barnaby to dig deeper. Unbeknownst to them, the agent had been supplying a group of criminals with insider information about clients to facilitate their robberies. The killer, recently released from prison, is the gang’s leader. Complicating matters, the victim was involved with the leader’s girlfriend, who is also part of the gang, leading to rising tensions among the criminals as the leader seeks to reassert his control.
