Episode Overview
Tim and Siddy gain entry to the Northumberland Park maintenance depot, where the entire Victoria Line fleet is serviced. Tim observes the meticulous work of the team as they carefully shave the metal wheels to ensure smooth operation on the tracks. Meanwhile, Siddy explores the vintage control panel in the tower, discovering that it’s still functional. They take a ride on the private connection from the depot to Seven Sisters station, getting off at its enigmatic third platform. Later, at Finsbury Park station, Siddy embarks on a night-time track walk to explore an abandoned tunnel that was once part of an early initiative to operate large electric trains on the underground. At the Museum, Tim learns about the significance of design throughout the tube network and examines the custom seating fabric designs used on various underground lines.
