Los Angeles, known as the "Gang Capital of the World," is home to around 900 gangs and over 80,000 members. Here, territory equates to power, and each gang strives to expand its influence at any cost. Since the 1990s, a troubling trend has emerged in these gang conflicts: racial divisions among gangs. In areas like Harbor Gateway, Highland Park, and Firestone, Hispanic gang members are increasingly targeting Black residents to ensure their areas remain free from rival groups.
