Gangland (2007)
S01E06 Kings of New York
Episode Overview
King Lil Man was discovered decapitated, dismembered, and burned in a bathtub, with his Latin Kings tattoo cruelly removed from his skin; his head and hands were never located. Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Zabel revealed that his killers, also members of the Latin Kings, were seen driving around in a cab with his head because their leader, "King Blood," demanded evidence of the murder. By the mid-1990s, the New York chapter of the Latin Kings had become the largest and most violent street gang in the city. Under the ruthless leadership of King Blood, they wreaked havoc until his conviction on 18 charges, including eight for murder, largely due to over 20,000 letters he penned, detailing the gang's criminal activities.
