Episode Overview
Mongul Mingghan Commander Uriyan Edei suggests deploying their shintenrai hand cannons to minimize his troops' losses against the defenders. From afar, Teruhi and Harari attempt to strike him with their arrows but miss. As Jinzabur? and Abiru's team prepare to retreat, they are caught off guard when Chinese soldiers in the Mongol ranks fatally shoot Abiru with a shintenrai. Meanwhile, Goryeo warriors from Sasu advance from the west. Jinzabur? hopes the two armies will be disoriented in the dimming light. When the Goryeo and Mongol forces clash over abandoned treasures from fleeing islanders, the defenders seize the opportunity to escape north. Later, Teruhi and Jinzabur? encounter an elderly man from the Toibarai. Jinzabur? follows him throughout the night and, by dawn, reaches the summit of Mt. Shiratake,
