Episode Overview
In a flashback, Emperor Antoku presents a short sword to Minamoto-no-Kur?-Yoshitune, the High General of the Genji Forces. In the present day, the Emperor spots the same sword wielded by Jinzabur?. Teruhi arrives and is warmly greeted by her great-grandfather, who conveys an urgent message for Magistrate Nagamine of the Toibarai, instructing him to safeguard Sasu and the capital. Despite Teruhi's vow to protect the island, her S? clan is hesitant about depending on the Toibarai. Upon reaching Aso Bay, they learn that Toibarai women have lured a Mongol advance party into a deadly trap. Discovering that the invaders are a coalition of various groups, including Jurchen, Teruhi delivers the Emperor's message to Nagamine, who agrees to assist her. They take the S? survivors to the well-fortified Kanatanoki
